Volunteers

Thank you so much for your interest in supporting the SF Community Fridge! Before getting started, please read the following guidelines:

  • Considering the recent surge of COVID-19 cases in our city (and especially in the Mission District) we want to limit the number of volunteers and donors who converge at the fridge. To that end:

    • if you would like to donate food, please read our drop-off guidelines to learn how and where to donate.

    • if you would like to help maintain this fridge site, please fill out this form and we will schedule you for a specific time slot.

If you must visit us, please do not take photographs or record any community members engaging with the fridge or pantry. We want to honor the privacy of our community members who are experiencing food insecurity. This means creating a safe space in which anyone feels comfortable to take the resources they need without the fear of being surveilled. If you do want to share something about the fridges to your social media accounts, please adhere to this photography restriction.
