Farmworker Fund: No Hay Vino, Sin Campesinos

Food and agriculture equity and advocacy efforts must center farmworkers. We believe it is impossible to engage meaningfully in food and agriculture advocacy without including farmworkers in our organizing efforts. MMC’s Farmworker Fund allocates 25% of all donations and event revenues to provide groceries for local farmworkers.

As a San Francisco-based mutual aid group, we recognize that the local food and wine scene our city is celebrated for would not exist without the labor of Napa County farmworkers who harvest the vineyards that produce internationally renowned wines. In partnership with the Napa County Hispanic Network and Gonzalez Vineyard Management, we support 90 to 125 farmworker households with groceries and resources each month.
