Over 90% of the community MMC supports are immigrants. Our programs are shaped by longtime volunteers, participants, and trusted neighbors who reflect the people we serve. Now more than ever, trust and familiarity matter. We deeply appreciate the recent interest in volunteering with MMC, and we remain committed to prioritizing our community’s safety and well-being.

While we do not currently have in-person volunteer opportunities available, we will update this page and our social media channels as virtual volunteer opportunities become available.

San Francisco Rapid Response Network (SFRRN)

The SFRRN is a 24/7 hotline that offers immediate support during ICE activity in San Francisco. Whether you’re witnessing enforcement or experiencing a raid, trained responders are ready to verify, respond, and protect your rights.

📌 Note: This number is only for someone who was just detained in San Francisco. The hotline usually has one person answering the phone. If the line is busy, call back!

Attorney of the Day (AOD) Program

Offered by the Justice & Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco, the AOD Program provides free phone consultations with immigration attorneys for individuals without legal representation in immigration court. Attorneys offer legal advice and information on possible relief options.

Step-by-Step Family Preparedness Plan

Created by the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC), the Family Preparedness Plan was developed to help immigrant and mixed-status families create concrete, legally sound plans in case of detention, deportation, or other emergencies.

  • Free Citizenship Workshops

    The San Francisco Pathways to Citizenship Initiative
    Offers free workshops every 2–4 months across the city to help eligible green card holders apply for U.S. citizenship. Multilingual support and assistance with low-income fee waivers are available.

  • OCEIA Work Permit Clinics

    In partnership with community organizations, The San Francisco Office of Civic Engagement & Immigrant Affairs (OCEIA) offers free clinics to help asylum seekers and humanitarian parolees apply for their Employment Authorization Document (EAD).
